RoHS Compliance
1st July 2006 As the European Union's ban on the use of six environmentally unfriendly materials went into effect, designers have clear evidence that failure to meet the Restriction of Hazardous Substances directive means lost sales and opportunities. Ideal Power has followed the EU directive, which took effect on 1st July 2006, which covers the use of Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Hexavalent Chromium, Polybrominated Biphenyls and Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers. By working with its Worldwide Suppliers & Manufacturers to eliminate those substances from all its products developed for the European market, while also adapting the manufacturing processes to a PB-free environment. Some of the products obtained by Ideal Power even meet other countries “Green Power” (RoHS-like legislation) requirements including China, Taiwan and South Korea, and certain U.S. states. RoHS compliance has become an integral part of Ideal Power’s policy, covering the concept, development, prototype, first builds and volume production of all its products.

Ideal Power’s commitment ensures that its customers do not have to face the concerns of finding a product which meets the RoHS directive and is happy to discuss the details of required products to ensure its customer is satisfied so they can concentrate their effort on the core business.
